The Finance and Accounting Director at Sustainable Solutions for Africa (SSA), Amen EKLOU-TAKPANI coordinates the activities of the accounting and financial structuring departments of the projects. He has a decade of experience in the field of financial management and accounting of projects and manages since the creation of SSA a portfolio of more than twenty projects valued at over 1,500,000 USD.
He is actively involved in the financial preparation of projects for the mobilization of resources from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund (AF) on behalf of several least-developed countries (LDCs). To his credit, he has prepared the financial annexes for a USD 200,000,000 GCF-approved funding proposal; as well as proposals for preparatory for climate finance mobilization and full GCF projects development (Readiness Preparatory support and Project Preparation Facility) approved or in the process of being approved.
He is flexible and versatile and contributes to various management aspects such as tender documents, project management, administration and human resources advice.
Prior to joining SSA, he worked as a Project Finance Officer at Climate Analytics - a renowned international organization in climate analysis and projections. Long before Climate Analytics, he was involved in the financial management of development projects funded by international donors such as the African Women Development Fund (AWDF), the United States Embassy in Togo, the European Union (EU) and UNICEF.
