CEO, Founder

With nearly 20 years of relevant experience in climate change diplomacy, policy formulation, analysis and implementation, Ms. Freitas is an internationally recognized expert on mobilizing climate finance. She has worked with governmental, non-governmental and international institutions in over 50 developing countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands supporting the formulation and/or implementation of climate change policies, strategies, projects and programs.
She also has experience in managing teams of international professionals to develop and test innovative implementation strategies to support climate programs in developing countries (Africa, LDCs and SIDS).
Prior to founding Sustainable Solutions for Africa, Ms. Freitas was a civil servant with the GCF in South Korea (Head of the Implementation Strategy Unit), and Director of the Climate Analytics Office in Togo.
Today she consults on climate investments and mobilizes resources on behalf of countries and international organizations.

Administrative and Human Resources Director in charge of Partnerships

Administrative Director in charge of Human Resources and Relations with Partners at SSA, David VOULE-FRITITI holds a Master's degree in Management and Business Administration. His professional career has led him to work in several sectors including Administrative and Human Resources management in the Togolese companies of TELECOM and Road Maintenance. His great capacity and ambition to adapt in several sectors, his contribution to the development of marketing strategies and sales force of the ENTENTE games of the 5 countries of the West African Council have earned him success.

Entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in the agricultural field, founder of the Forum for Sustainable Development group (FDD group) specialized in the agricultural exploitation of vegetables and cereals and the reforestation aspects along the banks of the Agumatsa Yikpa rivers between Togo and Ghana.

Finance and Accounting Director

The Finance and Accounting Director at Sustainable Solutions for Africa (SSA), Amen EKLOU-TAKPANI coordinates the activities of the accounting and financial structuring departments of the projects. He has a decade of experience in the field of financial management and accounting of projects and manages since the creation of SSA a portfolio of more than twenty projects valued at over 1,500,000 USD.
He is actively involved in the financial preparation of projects for the mobilization of resources from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund (AF) on behalf of several least-developed countries (LDCs). To his credit, he has prepared the financial annexes for a USD 200,000,000 GCF-approved funding proposal; as well as proposals for preparatory for climate finance mobilization and full GCF projects development (Readiness Preparatory support and Project Preparation Facility) approved or in the process of being approved.
He is flexible and versatile and contributes to various management aspects such as tender documents, project management, administration and human resources advice.

Prior to joining SSA, he worked as a Project Finance Officer at Climate Analytics - a renowned international organization in climate analysis and projections. Long before Climate Analytics, he was involved in the financial management of development projects funded by international donors such as the African Women Development Fund (AWDF), the United States Embassy in Togo, the European Union (EU) and UNICEF.
